Amy Howard At Home Zinc Antiquing Solution enables you to give metal the look of aged zinc. Use the Antiquing Solution to oxidize and age the metal, then follow with an application of Light Wax to buff and seal. Annual maintenance applications of Light Wax are recommended to protect your piece. Take a plain metal desktop from standard to special, or add a unique top to your kitchen island. Create an aged zinc finish on metal candlesticks or containers.
Zinc Antiquing Solution Instructions:
Clean metal surface with a degreasing solution such as dish soap. Let dry thoroughly. Soak a cotton rag with Zinc Antiquing Solution and blot metal surface; making 2-3 passes over the entire piece. Let dry overnight. Use a clean cloth to apply a coat of light wax in a circular motion over the entire piece. We recommend annual reapplications of wax to preserve the finish.
